The format has been
changed to a figure 8 loop, which will be run twice over two days, in
opposite directions on each day.
The race will begin with a mass start at 12:30pm on Thursday March 25.
The course will run downstream from Dawson approx. 7-8 miles, cross the
river and head back towards Dawson. The trail will pass in front
of town on the river , and continue upstream of Dawson for
approx. another 7-8 miles, before returning to the finish line on Front
St. in Dawson.
On Friday morning at 10am, all racers will start in a second mass start
on the river, follow the upstream course, loop back past Dawson, run the
downstream trail, come back to the finish line. The course will
include a small amount of bush trail on both the upstream and downstream
sides of the loop. The total trail distance with river crossings, etc
will be between 30 and 35 miles. Fastest total run time wins the race.
Total run time will be determined by adding run times from Thursday &
Friday.
Racers are responsible for their own accommodation during
the Dawson overnight; the checkpoint will be open 24 hours. Hotel reservations are strongly recommended, as there are
other events in town on race weekend. Contact us at
