Important dates

Route Change:

The Percy mushers will run Dawson to Forty Mile, then they will run a sixty mile loop on the river, and return back to Forty Mile before finishing their race in Dawson. This makes the 200 mile race a 170 mile race.

Those racing the 170 mile race will still have a mandatory 8 hours rest.

First leg of the trail is 55 miles starting from Dawson to Forty Mile, then an additional 60 mile loop, returning mushers to Forty Mile, then final leg of 55 miles back to Dawson.

Race date: Thursday, March 3, 2022

NOTE: ALL MUSHERS AND HANDLERS MUST PROVIDE VALID PROOF OF COVID-19 VACCINATION IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY OF THE THREE  RACES.

Entry fee due date: Entries will be accepted starting January 1 , 2022. Entry deadline is February 16, 2022. Payment must be received by that time. Entry will not be guaranteed until the entry form is complete and the entry fee has been paid in full. Any mushers wishing to sign up after the February 16 deadline will incur an additional $100 late registration fee. Should there be more than 20 teams, a wait list will be established and given priority over late entries. If teams withdraw from the race after the entry fee has been paid, the following refund rates apply::

  • 50% refund between January 1 and January 30, 2022
  • No refunds after January 30, 2022
  • If the race is cancelled due to COVID, full refunds will be provided

*NEW* - Mandatory Pre-race Vet Check: Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Vet checks will be held throughout the day; times will be assigned to each musher.

Mandatory Mushers Meeting: Wednesday, March 2, 2022 @ 6pm at the Visitor Information Center, Front St, Dawson

Awards Ceremony: Location and time to be announced.

Please note that proof of current Parvovirus and Distemper vaccinations and Rabies certificates is required.
